Mid-Summer Update

Greetings Falcon Family!

As we prepare to welcome our students back next month, our administration has been working hard to ensure a seamless start to the 2026-2027 school year. Here is a mid-summer update on what we have been working on across the district.

STAFFING, SCHEDULES, AND FORMS

Our team has spent the past few weeks finalizing schedules, securing new staff in critical positions, and preparing instructional materials, ensuring we get off to an excellent start this year. Thanks to the hard work of our administrative and Human Resources teams, we are nearly fully staffed a month ahead of opening.

Schedules & Teacher Assignments: The RealTime Parent Portal will open later in the day on August 14th; be on the lookout for that communication.

 
BOARD COMMITTEES & UPCOMING PRESENTATIONS

In collaboration with the Board of Education, we are launching a series of community presentations this year to share more information about programs and initiatives in our schools. Based on recent feedback from public meetings, our first two sessions will cover:

HIB Law Refresher: August 17
Intermediate School Updates: September 21

We are sharing these dates early so interested families will be able to attend and hear these important discussions.  

 
COMMUNITY & LEGISLATIVE PARTNERSHIPS

We continue to strengthen our municipal and state partnerships to advocate for fair funding and increased support for our students.

I recently met with the Mayor, Chief of Police, and Township Business Administrator to discuss shared services and our goal to continue the strong relationship between the town and school system.

Additionally, recent and upcoming meetings with Assemblywoman Sweeney, Assemblywoman Dunn, and Senator Bucco highlight how fortunate we are in Jefferson to have dedicated officials truly invested in supporting our children and public schools.

 
NEW! FOLLOW OUR DISTRICT INSTAGRAM

To supplement our regular newsletter and superintendent messages, we are launching a new way to connect with the community on a day-to-day basis: an official Superintendent Instagram account at @jtpsfalcon_super. The goal of this account is to provide real-time updates from our school and community events. Give us a follow today and keep up to date with all the excellent things going on in our Falcon Family!
